Introduction
Grazer takes a
GPX file and reads all elements of
wptType,
rteType and
trkType
from a specified file. After that, it scans all "hot folders" that you can specify (up to 4 for the current version), where your
images are. The timestamp of each image is searched for in the list of all waypoints. The best match, accounting for timezone shifts and a user-defined
tolerance value, is written to the EXIF header of the image in the tags
Exif.GPSInfo.GPSLongitude,
Exif.GPSInfo.GPSLatitude and
Exif.GPSInfo.GPSAltitude. The format used for the latitude and longitude values is the
EXIF 2.2 standard rational type, expressed as
dd/1 mm/1 ssss/100.
F.A.Q.
Grazer is not tagging any image in any of my hot folders.
- Check the timestamps of the images. Many users have reported this, and the problem actually
was that the GPX file's timestamps
were too far away from the image's timestamps.
I can't open my tagged images in Google Earth.
- You are using an old version of Grazer. Please download the latest version which
creates EXIF information compatible with Google Earth.
My images do not have an EXIF header, can Grazer tag them anyway?
- Yes, if Grazer does not find an EXIF header it writes one to the image. Note
that the last write time of the file will be used as the matching timestamp.
I have a file from my GPS device / Navigatoin System that is not in GPX format. How can I use it with Grazer?
- Check the links section, there might be a tool for converting from your format to GPX.
